Math Curriculum Structure

Students progress through number relationship, arithmetic, pre-algebra, then algebra concepts.  Where your child starts in the curriculum is determined by the results of their free pre-test.  Methods are used to develop math efficiency and mental math skills.  A combination of one-on-one and independent study is applied based on your child's understanding of the material.

Learning Math is a Process

At Foundation Learning, we believe that every child can master math concepts if given the confidence and foundation to succeed. Every student is given a free pretest to determine their strengths and weaknesses.  Based on the results of their pretest, students are placed in the curriculum to immediately start building confidence, strengthening their calculations and analytical skills, and developing strong study skills. Students progress through the curriculum at a pace that is appropriate for them.  The goal is mastery of concepts while getting students to perform beyond their grade level as soon as possible.  Individualized lesson planning, repetition, and a linear curriculum helps students to achieve academic success. The curriculum levels starts with number sense through high school algebra.  Automaticity of math facts is stressed, early math concepts are drilled to give students the foundation and confidence to perform high school math and perform above grade level. The success they experience will transform them into leaders in their classrooms.
